An email address on your own domain (contact@yourdomain.com) looks far more professional than a free one, and it's included with every CHLink web hosting plan. Here's how to create one from cPanel.

Creating the email account

  1. Log in to cPanel and go to the "Email" → "Email Accounts" section.
  2. Click the "Create" button in the top-right corner.
  3. Enter the local part of the address (e.g. "contact") and pick the domain from the list, if you have more than one on your account.
  4. Set a strong password (or use the password generator shown automatically) and choose the mailbox storage quota ("Storage Space").
  5. Click "Create" — the email account is active immediately.

Setting it up in Outlook, Thunderbird, or your phone

From "Email Accounts", click "Connect Devices" next to the newly created account to see the correct server settings (IMAP/POP3/SMTP), ports, and app-specific instructions for Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, or your mobile phone.

  • Incoming server (IMAP): mail.yourdomain.com, port 993 (SSL)
  • Outgoing server (SMTP): mail.yourdomain.com, port 465 (SSL) or 587 (STARTTLS)
  • Webmail directly in the browser: webmail.yourdomain.com
Replace "yourdomain.com" with your actual domain. The exact, personalized settings appear automatically on the "Connect Devices" screen.
