Every web application (WordPress, PrestaShop, a hand-built site, etc.) is built for a specific PHP version. If the version configured on your account doesn't match what the application expects, you may run into white-screen errors, "Fatal error" messages, or compatibility issues with certain plugins/themes.
MultiPHP Manager is the cPanel tool that lets you choose which PHP version runs per domain — no technical support or server access required.
Steps to follow
- Log in to cPanel using the credentials you received by email when your hosting account was activated.
- In the "Software" section, find and open MultiPHP Manager.
- From the domain list, check the box next to the domain or subdomain you want to change.
- From the "PHP Version" dropdown on the right, pick the version you need (e.g. PHP 8.1, 8.2, or 8.3).
- Click "Apply" to save the change — the new version activates instantly, with no downtime.
Adjusting PHP settings (php.ini)
For finer adjustments — such as memory_limit, upload_max_filesize, or max_execution_time — use MultiPHP INI Editor, available in the same "Software" section of cPanel. Select the domain, then edit the values directly in "Basic mode" or as raw text in "Editor mode".
